Introduction This week’s featured auctions will bring about a strong sense of deja vu, because for about three hours on Sunday evening (Japan Time), Yahoo Auctions had a serious technical problem resulting in nobody being able to place any bids.
It is not in the Tokyo Drift department (ie, it is not a GS) but I wanted to highlight this eBay listing from this gentleman David who is a skilled watch repair specializing in Seiko in France. Check this out:
Hi Gerald, unfortunately it seems like the crown on that 43999 SD dial is not the correct one. Just by looking at the 4th image you can count that it has 10 ridges instead of the 12 ridges the coarse knurled crown for the 43999 should have. In fact, to me it does look to have the 'W Seiko' in relief on the crown in the 4th photo. So whoever picks this up will probably need to source a correct crown later down the road, whether it's the finer knurled one or the coarser knurled one, as long as it's for the 43999/57GS series and not for the manual wind King Seikos from the same period.
If we have to, overnight parts from Japan
The vfa didn’t go for a penny more whilst the 44gs box wowee

Shame the owner of the 4522-7000 blue dial ‘910001’ didn’t re-list. I found that to be one which I couldn’t access to bid on via Zen.
Unfortunately I can't post a photo of a 12-ridge coarse knurled crown here but I will do so shortly on the chats with a new thread for reference.
