Preamble For the benefit of those subscribers who have signed up recently, each Tuesday or Wednesday I publish an article featuring scans of vintage Grand Seikos that appeared in the Seiko catalogues of the 1960’s and 1970’s.
Just did the conversion of 2.6 M yen in 1972. If my numbers are correct, four of those watches would have paid for my late parents’ very nice view home in a good district of a major West Coast city.
No wonder not many could have been sold. That one survived is miraculous!
